Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Effective date: 8 November 2026

Your privacy matters to us. We collect only the information we need to help you start your AI career, and we never sell your data.

01Who we are

The Data School ("we", "us", "our") is a Data Science and AI training institute located at 4th Floor, MIG 549, Road Number 1, Above HDFC Bank, KPHB Colony Phase 2, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, Telangana 500072. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data when you visit www.thedataschool.online, use our mobile app, contact us, or enrol in our programs.

We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its applicable rules.

02Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and to run our programs:

  • Enquiry and admission forms — your name, phone number, email address, the program you are interested in, and any message you send us (for example via the admissions, contact, demo class, bootcamp or syllabus download forms).
  • Account details — if you create an account, your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Student records — if you enrol, details needed for admission, attendance, fees and course completion.
  • Communications — messages you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
  • Technical data — basic information your browser or device sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive data such as financial account numbers or health information through this website.

03How we use your information

  • To call, message or email you back about the enquiry you made, a demo class or a program.
  • To process admissions, manage your learning account and give you access to resources and interview questions.
  • To share batch schedules, class updates and information about programs you asked about.
  • To improve our website, courses and student support.
  • To keep our services secure and to meet legal or regulatory requirements.

05How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only when needed:

  • Service providers who host our website, database and email on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google or open our Google Maps or Google review links — Google's own privacy policy applies to those services.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, court order or a government authority.

06Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as light or dark mode. These are needed for the site to work properly. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but some features (like signing in) may stop working.

07How long we keep data

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up about programs you asked about. Account and student records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and certification needs. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

08How we protect your data

We use reasonable security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted, role-based access to student and enquiry data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a data breach affects you.

09Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
  • Ask us to correct, update or complete your data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent and opt out of calls or messages about programs.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10Children's privacy

Our programs are designed for students and working professionals. If you are under 18, please use our website and submit forms only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.
